Lance is a Melee weapon among the eight types in version 1.0.9. Arkaya (Dragon, SSR) builds Resolve, then spends all of it on a heavy blow and a large shield. Ouyang Varen (Water, SR) builds Impetus and spends it on harder thrusts. Hunters who want Lance keep it for the whole hunt, solo or in a squad of four. More weapon types are planned after this first set.
