How the three Buddies sit with the hunters
- Palico, Rutaco, and Trillan are the Buddies named for launch. Palico is Assault and journeyed to Aesoland with the Adventurers. Rutaco is Disruptor and Trillan is Support. Rutaco and Trillan are native to Aesoland. A Buddy carries a class name and still is not one of the four player seats.
- Palico fights with weapons and items. The Assault hunters beside that name are Midori with a Long Sword, Rhodes with a Hammer, Pyro with a Great Sword, Luka with a Bow, and Ouyang Varen with a Lance. Each of those five cards is SSR. Palico does not take a seat away from them when the squad is filled.
- Midori builds a Spirit Gauge with the Long Sword kept in a shamisen. Rhodes stores Hammer energy and can spend it on an explosion. Pyro turns damage he takes into a heavier Great Sword swing. Luka puts thunder on Bow arrows that arc through a target. Ouyang Varen builds Impetus on a Lance and spends it on a harder thrust. Palico's skill is weapons and items, not one of those locked hunter weapons.
- Trillan supports hunters with a voice. Haze uses Dual Blades, can parry in Archdemon Mode, and can spend a Demon Gauge on Crimson Fang Slash. Ryunosuke uses a Long Sword, gains energy by eating in a stance, and hits harder with Spirit Blade attacks after he is Well-fed. Arkaya builds Resolve on a Lance, then spends all of it on a heavy blow and a large shield. Madelyn uses a Bow, medicines, and Spores she can detonate for damage and a boost.
- Rutaco builds with tools and Radiantite. Pepper uses a Heavy Bowgun and can fire quickly from the air. Raya uses Dual Blades, slips past attacks, and spends stamina to fill a Demon Gauge. Luxheart switches Great Sword stances with Heat and can loose a firework-like barrage. Keres chains Dual Blades into follow-ups. Freya is an SSR Disruptor with a Great Sword and Fire, outside the thirteen hunters on the global launch cards.
- A filled hunt holds one Adventurer in each seat, up to four, and an empty seat is still a legal hunt down to solo. Controller support is on for the phone build. The Buddy stays with the hunter and is not a fifth seat. Version 1.0.9 is the launch build that names these three Buddies.
- Charge Blade is a launch weapon with no named hunter on the cards, so an Assault seat is still one of Midori, Rhodes, Pyro, Luka, or Ouyang Varen. Fated Adventurer is the SSR row with class Any and weapon Any, and that row does not add a fourth class beside Assault, Support, and Disruptor.
- The October 2026 code mho1029 pays Rutacoins x200 and Zenny x20000. mhogohunt pays Mega Potion, Antidote, Energy Drink, Zenny, and Verdant Dew, and that payout has no Rutacoins. The Rutacoin reward sits beside Rutaco, the Disruptor who builds with Radiantite. Enter a code on the in-game CDKey page after the account meets the requirement shown there.
- Palico journeyed in and fights with weapons and items. Trillan stayed on the island and supports with a voice. Rutaco stayed on the island and builds with tools and Radiantite. Open an Adventurer for the locked weapon, and open Codes for the Rutacoin payout.
